11Development of new energy sources
Human beings can't live, eat, live, and work without energy.
Is there an infinite amount of energy on earth?
Analyze the chart and tell us what you think
1/4 of the earth's oil has been used up地球上1/4的石油已经被用掉了
Any material that can provide usable energy is collectively called energy.
The energy sources that have been widely used, such as coal, oil and natural gas, are called conventional energy sources.
Energy sources that have not yet been used by humans on a large scale and need to be further researched, developed and used rationally are called new energy sources.
Some energy sources are non-renewable
Hydroelectricity
The earth's energy is limited and new energy sources must be found地球上的能源是有限的必须寻找新能源
With the development of society and economy and the improvement of energy science and technology,
people have become aware of energy shortage and environmental pollution caused by the use of energy.
What new energy sources have been developed?
Geothermal地热
Nuclear energy核能
Tidal energy
Solar energy
For billions of years, solar energy has been the ideal source of inexhaustible energy.
Do the math.算一算
A mint-sized piece of U-235 can produce as much energy as 615 liters of fuel.
If a car travels 1,000 kilometers a day and uses 80 liters of fuel, how many mint-sized pieces of U-235 would produce as much energy as a car would consume in a year?
The new energy of the future.
Searching for ...... at the bottom of the sea
Further research and development of solar energy,
We are looking for new green energy
At present, mankind has explored and discovered new energy sources such as combustible ice and coal into gas, which will be widely used in the 21st century.
Information Card
On September 25, 2009, China announced the discovery of large-scale onshore combustible ice on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. 2009
This is the first time China has discovered natural gas hydrate (i.e., combustible ice) onshore, and China has become the first country in the world to discover combustible ice in the mid- to low-latitude tundra.
This is another major discovery after China drilled combustible ice in the northern South China Sea in May 2007.
Natural gas hydrate is an important alternative energy source in the "post-oil era".
The discovery of this potential energy source in the permafrost region will certainly broaden the horizon of human beings in the search for new energy sources and provide a guarantee for sustainable economic and social development.
Predict which energy source is most likely to be used in your community in 100 years, and explain why.
What energy-saving measures are being taken in our lives?
Collect data and explain the effect of energy saving.
Unit Evaluation
What I know about energy in our lives
Activities I am most interested in exploring
○Getting my body warmed up让身体热起来
○Study the factors that affect the speed of pendulum movement
○An experiment to study the properties of electromagnets
○A small experiment on energy conversion
My performance
